•  Educators’ Express exists to support teachers and education.  We want to provide your students and classroom with the tools necessary for success.
  
  
• Who can shop at Educators’ Express? 
  • Eligible: Rowan-Salisbury School System full time classroom teachers and Communities In Schools staff 
  • Not eligible: assistant teachers, part time teachers, administrative staff, custodial staff, bus drivers, interns, substitutes, home school teachers, or day care providers
    
    
• Educators’ Express hours: September through May on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:30 – 5:00 p.m.
  
  
• Inclement Weather Policy: If RSSS schools are closed due to inclement weather, Educators’ Express will also be closed.
  
  
• What I Must Know to Shop at Educators’ Express:
  • Eligible shoppers may schedule an appointment only via our Website at www.EducateRowan.org three times each school year (once per quarter).  Click on the Educators' Express logo or click on Programs & Initiatives, then on Educators' Express.
  • A current RSSS photo ID is required at appointment time.
  • Guests, children, or teacher assistants are not allowed in Educators’ Express due to safety and overcrowding concerns.
  • All first time shoppers will be given a brief orientation before shopping.
  • Cancellations must be made in advance via e-mail at lwooten@EducateRowan.org or voice mail at 704-642-0700.  No-shows will count as a shopping visit, and you will not be able to shop until the next quarter.
  • An e-mail confirmation and shopping instructions will be sent once an appointment has been set.
  • Shoppers will be given a check-out sheet upon arrival to record selected items.
  • Shoppers must respect what is free and observe posted limits on products to ensure adequate supplies are available for all shoppers.  Items designated as “class size limit” should be restricted to quantities that will meet the needs of the classroom.  
  • All items obtained at Educators’ Express are for school use only.  By signing the pledge on the check-out sheet, you are agreeing to use all items in your classroom for the benefit of your students. 
  • Items from Educators’ Express may not be returned, exchanged, bartered, sold or taken for personal use.  Abuse of this system will result in removal of shopping privileges.  Items of significant value become school property and are non-transferable.
  • Educators' Express is located in a mobile unit and does not have access to restrooms or other facilities.      

• Please write thank you notes to our donors.  You will receive a list of two or three donors to thank during your shopping trip.  Thank you notes can be written by you or your students.  These thank you notes help us to receive repeat donations and keep our shelves stocked with materials for your classroom.

Coming from Salisbury, on Hwy 52 at ERHS go through the stop light.
Turn left into the parking lot. Look for 1st mobile unit and Educators' Express sign.
